Linux Stopmotion

About

Stopmotion was born as a student project under the Skolelinux/Debian-edu organization, represented by Herman Robak.
Bjørn Erik Nilsen and Fredrik Berg Kjølstad developed Stopmotion at Gjøvik University-College (Norway), in 2004-2005,
supervised by Øyvind Kolås, multimedia production and object oriented programming teacher.

The project was loved by many and even won a few awards. Despite the entusiasm, the free time for maintaining Stopmotion on the long run was scarce.

In late 2011 Raffaella Traniello offered some help to the creators of Stopmotion. Bjørn and Fredrik decided to hand over the project to the community. Raffaella was officially appointed as Chief Community Manager.

In late 2017 the mantle of Chief Community Manager was passed to Tim Band.
